Enrique officially appointed Paris Saint-Germain coach, signed until 2025
On the evening of July 5, PSG Chairman Nasser held a press conference to announce that Enrique was officially appointed as Paris Saint-Germain coach and signed a contract until 2025.
Enrique had previously coached Barcelona, Celta Vigo, and Roma, leading Barcelona to 1 Champions League, 1 Club World Cup, 1 European Super Cup, 2 La Liga titles, 3 Copa del Rey titles and 1 Spanish Super Cup title.
From 2019 to 2022, he coached the Spanish national team. He led the team to compete in the 2020 European Cup, reached the semi-finals, and lost to the eventual champion Italy on penalties. After the World Cup last year, he left the Spanish national team.
Enrique said at the press conference: "I am very happy to be in Paris, to enjoy new experiences here, to meet new people, to live in a new city, to learn new languages, and above all to coach Paris Saint-Germain. .”
